SINCE
EXPERIENCE
& UNFORGETTABLE
MEMORIES.
Dumb Unit is a band defined by songwriting abilities. By mastering an amalgam of musical genres, we craft signature songs dominated by lyrical brilliancy. With this foundation, Dumb Unit truly triumphs when they add elements of improvisation, rock and beat-boxing.
Featuring guitar, mandolin, saxophone, bass, drums and vocal percussion, Dumb Unit guarantees a lesson in musical history along with their own signature brand of genre-defying sounds.
Our debut album, “I'm the living dead", is a unique assembly of songs that seamlessly blend elements of rock and roll with blues, jazz and folk. “my heart's stopped beating” (2021) features the same range of style, but includes their first single to be charted on college radio. This track quickly became a fan favorite for its complex rhythms and catchy melodies.
Although the band is still relatively new, they have already started making a name for themselves. They have played numerous shows throughout the province and have even opened for some bigger acts. Loand music is a band to watch out for in the coming years!

When attending a musical event, there are a few things to remember to have the best experience possible: Arrive early to get a good seat. Dress comfortably and follow the event’s dress code. Be respectful of the performers and other attendees by refraining from talking during the performance. Enjoy the music! When buying tickets to a musical event, it is important to purchase them from a reputable source. There are many ticket scammers, so be sure to do your research before buying from anyone. Ticket prices can vary depending on the event but typically range from $20-$100. It is also important to check the event’s website for any special instructions or requirements regarding tickets. For example, some events may have assigned seating, while others are general admission. Arriving early at a musical event is important if you want to get a good seat. The closer you are to the stage, the better the view and sound quality. However, keep in mind that the seats closer to the stage may be more expensive if you are not worried about getting a perfect view; arriving 30 minutes to an hour before the event should be plenty of time to get a decent seat. One of the most important things to remember when attending a musical event is respect for the performers and other attendees. It means refraining from talking during the performance, as it can be disruptive and disrespectful. It is also important to silence your phone and put it away for the duration of the event. If you must take pictures or videos, be sure to discreetly and without shining any lights that could distract those around you. Finally, avoid standing up or moving around too much during the performance, as this can block other people’s views and be disruptive. Most musical venues will have concessions available for purchase. However, bringing your food and drinks is usually cheaper and more convenient. Keep in mind, however, that alcoholic beverages are usually not allowed. If you plan to buy food or drinks at the venue, arrive early so as not to miss any of the performances waiting in line. The best way to enjoy a musical event is to immerse yourself in the music. If you are familiar with the performers or the music being played, take some time to read up on them beforehand to appreciate their work even more. If not, sit back and enjoy the experience. There is no wrong way to enjoy music, so just let yourself go and have fun! After the event is over, clean up any trash, you may have brought in with you. Most musical venues have staff that will do this for you, but it is always appreciated when attendees take the initiative to help out. Once the venue is clean, feel free to linger and talk with other attendees about the performance or anything else. Eventually, though, everyone will need to head home. When saying goodbye, thank the staff and performers for their hard work in putting on a great show! The internet has drastically changed the music industry, specifically how artists distribute their music. In the past, if an artist wanted to distribute their music, they would have to go through a record label. The record label would then take care of manufacturing and distributing the music. However, with digital distribution, artists can now bypass the record label entirely and distribute their music themselves. There are a few different ways that artists can digitally distribute their music. One way is to sell their music directly from their website. Another way is to use a digital distributor such as iTunes or Amazon. Finally, some artists choose to give away music for free, either through their website or through a file-sharing service such as BitTorrent. The biggest benefit of digital distribution is that it gives artists more control over their music. They can determine how they want to price their music and decide who they want to make it available. Additionally, digital distribution is much cheaper than traditional methods, so artists can save money by distributing their music digitally. Of course, digital distribution also has its downside. One of the biggest challenges facing artists who distribute their music digitally is piracy. Because digital music files are easy to copy and share, it’s very easy for people to download music without paying for it illegally. This has been a major problem for the music industry and has led to a significant decline in sales. As more and more people subscribe to these streaming services, fewer people buy individual songs or albums. This has led to a decline in sales for the music industry. Additionally, many artists have complained that these services don’t pay them enough for their music. As a result, some artists have pulled their music from these platforms. Despite the challenges, the music industry is still thriving. In recent years, we’ve seen the rise of independent artists who are finding success outside of the traditional music business model. Additionally, many established artists are still making a lot of money from touring and merchandising. So while the industry is certainly facing some challenges, it’s still going strong. The future of the music industry is uncertain, but there are many opportunities for artists and businesses to capitalize on. The digital age has changed the music industry, some good and some bad. On the one hand, it’s easier than ever for artists to get their music out there; on the other hand, it’s also easier for people to pirate music and avoid paying for it. The industry is still trying to figure out how to adapt, but there are many opportunities for those willing to seize them. The future of the music industry lies in digital distribution. With the internet, artists have a direct connection to their fans. They can release new music whenever they want and get instant feedback. Additionally, digital distribution is much cheaper than traditional methods. There are no manufacturing or distribution costs so that artists can keep more of the profits from their sales. Digital distribution also allows for a wider range of music to be available. In the past, record labels would only sign artists that they thought would be commercially successful. However, with digital distribution, even niche genres can find an audience online. It gives independent artists a better chance at success, as they no longer need to go through a record label to get their music heard. The key is to be flexible and open-minded and always look for new ways to reach your audience. With the right approach, the sky’s the limit.
